RADWARN “Radiation warning Device

The Intech RADWARN is based on a high sensitivity semiconductor diode to achieve low cost and portability for use by radiographers in the field. The device, operating on 2 AAA battery cells, indicates safe radiation levels with a green indicator and warns of high radiation levels with audible alarm as well as flashing red indicator. The indicators and the radiation levels are as follows:

Green        : 0-2mR/h

Yellow        : 5mR/h – 50mR/h

Orange      : 50mR/h – 100mR/h

Red              : > 100mR/h with audible alarm
